Air Force Brat here. Mom remarried an Air Force guy when I was 4. We were originally stationed at Travis AFB CA, then went to Germany. We were at Ramstein for 6 years. Lived offbase in a town called Steinwenden the whole 6 years. It's weird to find people who know where Trier is! Anyway, we then went to Eielson AFB in Alaska, and I graduated high school in Hawaii while stationed at Hickam. I'm now back in California going to college. I'm going back to see my Mom and Step-dad in a couple weeks. My step-dad got back from Iraq (he was on ghost patrol even though he's a war planner) a couple months ago and my brother-in-law gets back from Korea in 5 days. He and my sister are both active duty Air Force. They just came from Eglin in January and are now at Travis. My sister and I drove all the way from Eglin to San Francisco in 3 days. Her husband as been on a remote for almost a year now, so I did the drive with her. Anyway, that's the military low down. I hate living off base now though. Almost a year and I'm still not used to it.
