Air Force Brats Unite!

topic posted Thu, July 20, 2006 - 7:10 AM by  Amanda
Yet another Air Brat here. My dad went to OTS when I was five and we moved from the beautiful warm south to the frozen tundra known as Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota. Given that my dad was a missilier (spelling?) we had the honor of seeing some of the best bases the Air Force has to offer- Ellsworth, Offut, Langley (ok, that was actually nice, being by a beach and all), and Malmstrom. After all this my dad retired the summer before my senior year of high school and we ended up in St. Louis (ironically enough right down the street from Scott)
Good times, good times.

I am another Air Force Brat, having graduated Ramstein High School in Germany. Class of 91! My dad retired after 26 years from Keesler and my brother has been in 11 years; serving the first 10 as enlisted and then doing OTS and is planning to finish the last 10 as an officer!

I actually started college on an AFROTC scholarship, but ended up dropping it after the first year. Something about that 0600 PT that didn't work! Looking forward to hearing from others!
